Why You Need a Root Canal Treatment in Leominster

A root channel treatment or therapy is a procedure in which the tooth pulp is removed, cleaned for any residue abscess, disinfected and filled with composite filling. This is usually the last resort to save a tooth to be extracted directly – more likely for aesthetic reasons.

Root canal treatments are often expensive, and should be used sparingly on teeth that only require the treatment. After the therapy of the tooth canal, the tooth is always attached to the gums, but can no longer be felt because it is already dead. Finally, it will become fragile and darkened, just like a dead nail, and it will require a jacket to hold up after a few weeks or months.

There are many reasons why treatment should be obtained. For one, if you do not want the painful tooth to be removed, but you want to get rid of unbearable pain, it causes, the dentist can suggest a root channel instead of traditional dental extraction (in which the tooth is directly picked by your gums).

Before any procedure to take place, the dentist will first ask you to get an x-ray of the affected row of teeth before the procedure begins. And, before you hand over the x-ray to your dentist, bring it over to other dentists, so you can also get advice from them if you really need the root canal or not.
